Holy (^*&^*^*&!!!!

I don't "officially" start the program until Thursday, my wife and I are starting it together and Wednesdays turned out to be the best "rest" day for both of us.

Well today I started eating right and decided to try the yoga just for the heck of it. First off, it's and hour and half long. You can take a break at the first 30 minute mark. I was drenched in sweat and shaking. I took ten minutes, rested, drank some water, and started the dvd again. Six minutes into the second phase I quit. I couldn't hold any position. My body just gave out. So I only made 36 of the 90 minutes. I guess that leaves me a goal to shoot for :)

There are three different 90 day programs you can use with this. 1) Classic 2) Lean and 3) doubles. We are going to start with the "Lean" program which is more cardio and abs and less upper body strength. The dude on the intro video recommended you do Lean, then Classic, then Doubles. Doubles has two workouts a day for three days of the week and one workout for the other three days. I don't know if I will live long enough to complete all three of them!!! :)

I took before pictures. I will post them if I actually complete this.......They made me sad :(

Come on, I need more volunteers to be miserable with me!!

Did Yoga today for the second time. Made it to 45 minutes and felt like I was going to puke. I hope I can eventually do the whole 90 minutes.

So far I have done these workouts:

Core
Cardio
Shoulder and arms
Ab ripper
Yoga

Tomorrow is legs and back + ab ripper, the next day is Kenpo (kind of like cardio kickboxing), then rest. I am going to try to the Kenpo and if I don't like it I may just substitute working on my heavy bag when that exercise comes up again. I will probably rest Tuesday since we have class, and do the Kenpo on Wednesday.

Been trying to stick to below 1500 calories a day. I have lost 10 pounds already. That's normal for me to drop ten fairly quick but it will quickly level off and be a challenge after that.

In case anyone was wondering, these workouts suck. It's not fun and games, have a good time, get a good sweat and muscle pump and go on with your day. When they are done I am completely spent. Plus it's the first week and every part of my body is sore. That should go away in a week or so.

4 weeks and 17 pounds down!

I had a little hiccup when I was sick and missed three days and the ate some really bad food. If it wasnt for that, I would have lost even more.

I can finally complete every dvd, but I still can't all the reps on some of it. I'm addicted to the yoga now. I plan on doing that long after I am done with this program.

I had a great smoothie last night for supper. Spinach, frozen bananas and strawberries, and a scoop of protein powder...yumm yumm

Well I did it. I maintained around 175 right up to the end. I guess to much holiday food kept me from losing much the last few weeks. 35 pounds lost total, 25 with P90X.

I don't have a six pack yet :) But my waist is a lot smaller. I am wearing pants I haven't worn in years. I took my gunbelt up two notches at work and it's loose again. It wont be long and I can take it up another notch.

I will be taking it easy through Christmas and starting round two January 1st. I am expecting to gain back at least five pounds between now and the end of the year. I hope I don't gain any more than that.

I will be doing round two a little different. I am actually going to do a more traditional bodybuilding routine with a three day split, but I will continue to do the P90X cardio, Core, Plyometrics, Ab Ripper, and Yoga. I will be doing doubles on my days off, AM and PM. I am also increasing my calorie intake with protein powders and MRPs. My goal is to try and pack on some muscle without much fat gain. Then in April I will start the P90X lean version again. I would like to be about 185 lbs of muscle without the spare tire. Wish me luck..........
